In This Role You Will - Perform nutrition assessment and certification, counseling, nutrition education and referrals for WIC applicants and participants.
- Prepare high-risk participant certification records for signature of Nutritionist.
- Assist in development of education materials, Facilitate demonstrations, audio -visual presentation and other activities for participants.
- Participate in quality assurance activities.
- Provide follow-up nutrition education.
- Participate in nutrition in services and in policy-making staff meetings.
The Successful Applicant Will Offer - High School diploma or G.E.D. College courses and/or work experience in health care field preferred. Bilingual helpful.
- History of good attendance and positive work attitude.
- Good communications skills and interpersonal skills.
- Prioritization and organizational skills.
- Sensitivity to the needs of the client population.
- Must be available to work at multiple sites, Saturdays, and during evening hours.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid Massachusetts driver’s license.
