Job Description

Salary: $79,493 - 127,797 per year Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field or equivalent expertise.
  • A minimum of six years of progressively responsible experience in network engineering is essential.
  • Proven skills in effective communication and customer support.
  • Competency in documenting system solutions and adhering to established processes.
  • Familiarity with configuring and deploying FortiNet network devices (FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP) and experience with Cisco IOS, including QoS, ACL, PIX firewall, and Cisco VPN concentrators.
  • Knowledge of telecommunication equipment, data and phone cabling, network security, wireless technologies, and proficiency with all Windows operating systems.
  • Background in administrating Forti Manager and Forti Analyzer, as well as experience in designing network architectures and topologies.
  • Previous employment at an IT Managed Services Provider (MSP) is a plus.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, CCVP, CCIP, CCIE, and FortiNet FCA Engineer (through NSE7) are highly preferred.
  • Experience with computer applications such as ConnectWise Manage, ConnectWise BrightGauge, IT Glue, n-Able N-Central, SolarWinds Orion, and Microsoft Office products (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word, Visio).
  • Eligible candidates must pass a post-offer, pre-employment drug test.
Responsibilities:
  • I design and implement complex networking and telecommunications systems tailored for hosted and managed clients.
  • I perform data communication functions related to the design and installation of hardware, software, and circuit facilities.
  • I design, implement, install, and troubleshoot FortiNet and Cisco network infrastructure, including routers, switches, VPNs, and firewalls.
  • I coordinate and implement telecommunications systems, which might consist of PBX, voice switching systems, voice processing systems (e.g., voicemail), the voice network, integrated workstations, telecommunications cable/wiring plans, and related products and services.
  • I oversee the continual administration of voice technology and network systems, which includes managing telephone station hardware/software changes, voice system software upgrades, traffic analysis, and reporting.
  • I analyze complex hardware and software configurations and organize tasks for company teams and vendors.
  • I install and provide support for remote sites, including new offices, phone and network cabling, as well as new networks, testing, implementation, and maintenance.
  • I document networking and voice architectures, including creating Visio diagrams and supporting materials.
  • I secure quotes and contracts from hardware/software and telecommunications vendors.
  • I manage network and data projects, encompassing site remodels for networks and phones, obtaining bids for equipment, and overseeing project timelines and implementations.
  • I ensure the effective management of LAN/WAN, voice, security, and telecommunications systems for all clients.
  • I install, configure, and maintain software and hardware for LAN/WAN and voice data systems.
  • I develop strategies for long-term planning and utilization of network and telephony systems.
  • I provide telephone training and support to internal and external clients, as well as implement and uphold network security protocols.
  • I plan for hardware and software upgrades of LAN/WAN/TELCO systems and coordinate the introduction of new equipment with clients and vendors.
  • I tackle problems alongside internal/external clients, vendors, and consultants to deliver the highest quality service for LAN/WAN/TELCO.
  • I support pre-sales efforts by clearly discussing and presenting network ideas and solutions to non-technical clients.

The Network Engineer III is a Full-Time, Project role working Monday through Friday during daytime hours in Chandler, AZ, with an expected duration of at least three months. Occasional regional and national travel within the US for onsite project deployments and operational support will be necessary, along with potential weekend and on-call responsibilities.
