This is more than a job - it's a critical role in ensuring the safety, precision, and performance of aircraft components. You'll use your technical expertise and judgment to help return aviation systems to service - and excellence. **What You'll Do Day-to-Day** As an FAA Production Technical Operator 5, you'll be trusted with responsibilities that directly impact aircraft performance and safety, including: + Assembly, disassembly, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of aircraft components + Manual and automated equipment operation including hand soldering and test equipment + Preventive maintenance on machines and setup of manufacturing lines + Inspection and analysis of components with documentation to meet FAA standards + Collaborate with supervisors, teams, and potentially external parties to provide accurate info and solutions + Offer guidance to new employees and others in similar roles when needed **What You Bring to the Team** **Required Qualifications:** + High school diploma with technical coursework OR equivalent experience + 4-5 years of relevant hands-on experience in aviation or electronics manufacturing + Specific site-required certifications (as applicable) + Deep understanding of soldering specs, SMT processing, and component inspection + Experience with in-circuit and functional test systems + Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks in a manufacturing environment + Strong manual dexterity, visual acuity, and ability to work under tight deadlines **Preferred Qualifications:** + Experience working in an FAA Repair Station environment + Familiarity with documentation control systems, Word, Excel, and test documentation + Leadership capabilities and ability to train or mentor peers + Advanced manufacturing systems knowledge **Take the Next Step in Your Aviation Career** If you're ready to put your technical skills to work in a high-impact role that keeps the world flying, **apply now** and join PDS Tech Commercial.
