Job Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel trucks, including engine overhauls, transmissions, and chassis work.
- Diagnose mechanical issues and determine necessary repairs to uphold safety and efficiency standards.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot engine and component failures.
- Inspect vehicles for compliance with legal and safety regulations.
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs and maintenance performed, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance workflow and improve service delivery.
- Stay updated with industry advancements in diesel technology and attend training sessions as required.
Essential Qualifications
- Proficient in diesel engine theory and operations.
- Strong technical skills related to the inspection, repair, and maintenance of diesel systems.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Desired Experience
- Previous experience as a diesel mechanic or technician is preferred but not required.
- Experience with various truck models and types is a plus.
- Familiarity with computer-based diagnostic tools and equipment.
